Whale Shark and Moyo Island, an overland trip from Lombok to explore the region of Sumbawa visit Moyo island, Bungin Island, Paserang island, Kambing Island and snorkeling with Whale Shark at Teluk Saleh.
Enjoy the drive from Lombok through Sumbawa region, crossing the island by public ferry. Along the journey you will see beautiful sceneries of the landscape and natural view, villagers and beaches. The trip combined with snorkeling activity at Pualau Paserang and Pulau Kambing on the last day before heading to Lombok
The whale shark (Rhincodon typus) is a slow-moving, filter-feeding carpet shark and the largest known extant fish species. The largest confirmed individual had a length of 18.8 m (61.7 ft).[8] The whale shark holds many records for size in the animal kingdom, most notably being by far the most massive living non-mammalian animal.
It is the sole member of the genus Rhincodon and the only extant member of the family Rhincodontidae, which belongs to the subclass Elasmobranchii in the class Chondrichthyes. Before 1984 it was classified as Rhiniodon into Rhinodontidae
Day 1: Hotel – Kayangan Port – Pototano port, Sumbawa – Bungin Island – Labuan Jambu, stay overnight at Aqila Villa/Transit Beach Front Villa
Pick up at your hotel (8 AM) and depart to Kayangan port by car about 2,5 hours’ drive.
From Kayangan port, continue by public ferry (2 hours) to Pototano, Sumbawa Barat and then continue drive Bungin Island about 45 from Pototano harbor.
Bungin island is the most densely island in the world, made manually from dead corals. After Bungin isand, continue drive through Sumbawa Besar regency to Labuan Jambu. Arrive at Labuan Jambu, check in at your hotel and free of activities for the rest of the afternoon.
Day 2: Labuan Jambu – Teluk Saleh – Snorkeling – Labuan Jambu – Sumbawa Besar City, Stay at Samawa Seaside Resort
At 04.00 am you will be picked up and head out with the motorized boat to the Whale Shark point in Saleh Bay. Arrive at 6 AM, it’s the time for you to enjoy swimming side by side with whale sharks, the ocean’s gentle giants.
At 08.00 Leave the Whale Shark Point, back to Labuan Jambu. Check out the hotel and then proceed to Sumbawa Besar City, stay at Samawa Seaside Resort
Day 3: Moyo Island Trip, visit MataJitu Waterfall and Snorkeling at Taket Segele, Stay at Samawa Seaside Resort
After breakfast depart for day trip to Moyo island with private speed boat, stop over at Takat Segele for snorkeling time, and enjoy the underwater panorama.

Day 4: Sumbawa Besar – Pototano port – Pulau Paserang & Pulau Kambing – Lombok
Check out at 7 AM, Leave Sumbawa Besar city to Pototano Port approximately 2,5 hours’ drive.
From Pototano port continue with outrigger traditional wooden boat for snorkeling trip at Pulau Kambing and Pulau Paserang. Beautiful clustered small island on the west of Sumbawa with t beautiful coral and pristine clear water.
At 2 PM back to the port and proceed by public ferry to Kayangan harbor, Lombok. From Kayangan port continue drive to your hotel or your next destination. End of the program
